Serving is where our faith meets action. It is an opportunity to find a place to use your gifts, talents, and passions to serve the ongoing ministries of New Community. The primary way to serve our New Com church community is by joining one of our ministry teams.

The Announcement Team ushers in a sense of belonging and seeks to welcome people into our community. The announcements share important information with our congregation towards the beginning of service between worship sets and the sermon.
The Community Engagement Team was created in hopes of leading our faith into active, self-sacrificial love to our community, and to the city of Chicago. We want to bring about community flourishing and renewal, while deepening our church's convictions and practices of righteousness, justice, and reconciliation.
The Connections Team reserves parking spots, greets and welcomes everyone as they enter the building, oversees our iPad check-in stations, ushers people into the Sanctuary, and finally, helps people get connected to the various opportunities that New Com has to offer.
Kid City serves kids from birth through 5th grade. It is a multi-ethnic & intergenerational discipleship community that seeks to reflect God’s Kingdom by encountering Jesus, learning about the Gospel, cultivating a sense of belonging, and experiencing God’s heart for justice and reconciliation in our world.
Mosaic Youth Ministry serves 6th-12th graders. It is a multi-ethnic ministry that intentionally cultivates profound relationships, discipleship, and community formation. Mosaic Youth Ministry seeks to care for youths’ spiritual, emotional, and mental needs to lead youth to externally embrace being the heart, voice, hands, and feet of Jesus.
Before service, the Media Team prepares lyrics, announcement and sermon slides. During the service they run the projector and livestream. After service, they edit media and upload to our website and podcasts.
The Worship Team ushers the congregation into the presence of the Lord every week through word and song.
