Life is full of change, challenges, and transitions. New Community’s Lead Pastor, Rev. Dr. Leslie X. Sanders is available for emotional and spiritual support as you navigate some of life’s highs and lows. This includes experiencing grief or illness, transitioning into parenthood, seeking premarital counseling, or dealing with marital/relational challenges. Dr. Sanders is available to meet with you one-on-one for listening and prayer support.

Cornerstone is made up of a wide network of trained therapists of diverse backgrounds and expertise who offer virtual and in-person meetings. Cornerstone also has its own financial assistance program that clients can access if they qualify. The Blessing Fund offers financial and material support to individuals and families facing hardship, especially economic challenges. We prioritize members of our congregation and those connected to them. By providing assistance with essential needs like rent, food, and utilities, we demonstrate New Community’s compassion and care in a tangible way. The Meals Ministry organizes meal trains for people who are experiencing moments of significant transition or challenge within their household such as medical procedures, welcoming new life, or mourning a loss. Meals can be offered in the form of homemade food, restaurant gift cards, or ordering a meal delivered to the recipient’s house.
