Phase III: Book Club

Register for the book club on Bryan Stevenson’s Just Mercy, happening at the church/on Zoom on the following 3 Wednesday nights:
          – September 10th
          – September 24th
          – October 8th

**If you would be willing to help facilitate breakout conversations during the book club using the provided discussion questions, please email Hannah by August 15th to let us know!**

Phase IV: Sankofa

Exciting news! Lord willing, we will be embarking on the Sankofa journey (Phase IV) together in February. The dates are confirmed, and registration is open!
WHAT: An immersive discipleship experience modeled after the ethos of the 1960 Freedom Rides, Sankofa is an opportunity to look backward into our nation’s history before we can faithfully move forward together.
WHENFebruary 19-22, 2026
WHERE: The trip will start and end in Atlanta, GA. We will fly there very early in the morning on 2/19 and back to Chicago the evening of 2/22.
INVESTMENT: $475 covers accommodations, food, and entrance to all museums and venues. Of this cost, a 50% deposit is due on registration, and the rest is due one month before the trip (if something happens and you need a refund, you’ll need to request that before January 29th, 2026). Please plan on an additional $100-$200 for round-trip airfare to and from Atlanta, and join us in thinking and praying about ways we can fundraise as a church to help offset that second 50% and the cost of airfare.
REGISTRATIONPlease use this link for more information and to register for Sankofa. Space on the bus is limited, and in the trip will become available for people from other covenant churches to sign up soon, so please register as soon as you know you’ll be able to attend. Under “Partner Information,” please put Hannah Snoeyink (hannahsnoeyink@gmail.com) as a placeholder for now as we will be assigning partners after we know who’s able to come on the trip.
