With a BA in Biblical and Theological Studies and minor in Reconciliation Studies, John is passionate about the multiethnic church and children’s spiritual formation. John believes that discipling children is a two-way street that teaches adults more about our faith and identity as beloved children of God.
Shortly after getting married, John & Bobbie Jo moved to Chicago from Minneapolis in July of 2020. They have been doing ministry together for just over a year and hold a profound appreciation for the fruitfulness of marriage and ministry together.
John currently serves as a ministry coach, and is part of a faith and justice leadership cohort.
When not at NewCom, John enjoys reading, cooking, coffee shops & breweries, bike rides, and hanging out with friends.
