Ministries

Where do I go to serve?

There are numerous ways that you can get involved at New Community—on a regular basis and periodically. All of our Ministry Teams are looking for dedicated and reliable volunteers. If you are passionate about serving, please contact our church office or visit our website for email information for each team leader. So much happens during the week, and we wouldn’t want you to miss anything! Again, if you are ready to get involved and use those gifts God instilled in you, or if you’d like to serve in ways outside of those listed, contact us at the office.

If you aren’t sure what you spiritual gifts are, there are classes throughout the year which are designed to help you figure them out. But you can still get involved! After all, nothing shows us what gifts we have like experience. Learn your gifts while you serve.

Ministry Teams

Children’s Ministry (Kid City) • Valencia R. Carter • Valencia's Email
We want to share the love of Christ to every child by teaching about Jesus and by being an example of Christ to them, so they may also become kingdom builders. Each Sunday, we minister to children from infancy to 5th grade through an inviting environment of praise, Bible lessons, and fellowship. Our ministry also provides parents a much needed break and an opportunity to refuel by participating in worship.
Choir • Thaddeus Sherman • Thaddeus' Email
We are a diverse family of singers who, through varies styles of music, value authentic worship, excellence in musicians and committed relationships with God and each other. Please contact Daniel for more information. We sing once a month with a break in the summer.

Community Groups are small gatherings of people (usually between 10 and 12) working together one night per week to progress from where they are to where God wants them to be—through Bible Study, fellowship, service and accountability.
