Counting Ministry
Mission of the Ministry:
To demonstrate good stewardship by the timely collection, calculation, and deposit of our tithes and offerings. By sharing our gifts of bookkeeping and accuracy, we help tend the gifts that the congregation gives to the church to continue its ministries.
How can I get involved?
Good at math? Love spreadsheets? Then this is the ministry for you! Every Sunday, counters work in pairs to count & record the offering. We are looking for 3-4 volunteers to join our team.
Time Commitment:
Approximately 1 hour one week of each month. We ask that you be able to commit to serve for at least a one year period. Skills/Talents: Experience in accounting or administration is helpful but not required. Meetings/Training Opportunities: Bi-annual training & as needed. Must be available to shadow one Sunday before becoming part of the regular rotation.
Special Requirements:
New volunteers must be vouched for by two current members of New Community. Confidentiality is a priority. Married couples may not count on the same days. Background check required.
