Community Groups

At New Community we emphasize the importance of being in community with each
other. Our Community Groups are a place where authentic community is fostered
and developed, spiritual formation is happening through spending time in the Bible
and prayer, as well as practical needs are being met.

Our Community Groups are made up of 10-16 people and meet on different nights
throughout the week in different neighborhoods of Chicago. These people are a
mixture of men and women from diverse backgrounds and are led by amazing men
and women volunteers at New Community.

We are continually adding and expanding our Community Group ministry to target
more specific groups. Please check out “Other Groups” for more information on
these groups.

Interested in joining a Community Group? Community Group 101 is the first step.
This group is a 5 week group that allows you to connect with others in the church
while learning what our Community Group ministry is all about. We will be going
over the 5 pillars of Community Group at NC3. At the end of the 5 weeks, it is our
hope to place you in a more permanent small group home.
