We have a handful of ministries that work together to serve our congregation on Sunday morning before, during, and right after service. They do a variety of tasks from handing out bulletins, running the sound board, playing guitar in the worship band, checking-in children, and more.
The Counting Ministry uses skills of bookkeeping and accuracy through the timely collection, calculation, and deposit of tithes and offerings to help New Community fulfill its mission.
Greeting & Parking
The Greeting & Parking Team welcomes and connects our congregation on Sunday mornings. We seek to build relationships and nourish a good environment for visitors, current members and the congregation as a whole.
The Hospitality Ministry seeks to provide special events for the church body where people can have the space and time to meet and cultivate deeper relationships with each other which will extend beyond Sunday morning worship.
The NewCom Central Team seeks to provide a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walks through our sanctuary doors each week.
The Prayer Ministry is a resource to individuals, ministries, small groups, and the pastoral staff. To this end, we provide training on prayer, offer intercessory prayer during and after services, following up with new believers and seekers, and pray on behalf of the church on a weekly basis. We are always open to people joining our team and serving in the way that God leads him or her.
Are you comfortable with computers and have an aptitude for programs like PowerPoint? We are looking for individuals to operate our multimedia systems during the worship service. Are you technologically savvy with attention to detail and willingness to be trained? We have opportunities for you to learn and operate the sound board on Sunday mornings during the worship service. Do you have experience running a video camera? Editing? Photography? We will train you to help us film and produce videos for the church.
The Ushering Team exists to support Sunday worship services by helping with sanctuary setup, passing out the bulletins, attendance recording, communion, and sanctuary cleanup with the goal of helping the congregation experience God at New Community each week.
Are you interested in using your musical talent for the glory of God? Do you have vocal or instrumental skills? Do you have a heart for leading others into worship? Consider joining our worship team or choir!
